Alan Dashen has worked in the municipal bond industry for over 30 years as a consultant, investment banker and financial advisor.

Mr. Dashen founded A. Dashen & Associates in 1996 to provide financial advisory services to governmental entities throughout the Northwest.  During the last 12 years the firm provided financial advisory services for over 150 financings totaling approximately $5 billion in par value. 

Prior to forming A. Dashen & Associates, Mr. Dashen was employed as an investment banker at Seattle-Northwest Securities.  At Seattle-Northwest, he was responsible for most of the firm’s utility financings.  Many of his current clients are water and electric clients throughout the Northwest.

Mr. Dashen has experience as an engineering consultant, including feasibility studies and planning and design of water and wastewater utility systems.  Mr. Dashen has a master’s degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Stanford University.
